By choosing a celebrity baby name, you are perhaps conferring on the baby the most important thing in his life. The name that you ultimately decide on is going to reflect his identity and perhaps contribute to building of his character. So, a celebrity who is your icon will become a part of your life through the name that the baby is saddled with. Indians believe that Rashi is something very important and they may choose to identify a celebrity name who has the same rashi as the baby. They may also choose a name that signifies success, wealth and power hoping that with a celebrity name tagged to it, the toddler will be as successful as the owner.

Celebrities are by themselves luminaries or noted personalities and have always earned the admiration of the glamour loving public. Whether it is openly stated or not, everyone nurtures a secret admiration for some celebrity or the other. It may be a movie star, a sportsperson, a television star or a pop star.
