Wholesale toys are not just bought by retail outlets, but
also directly by consumers. These maybe parents who wish to celebrate
their child’s birthday by distributing toys amongst the classmates.
Alternatively, they may want to provide toys to an orphanage. A lot of
huge corporate houses also place bulk orders for toys that they may want
to distribute to underprivileged children. While this maybe at a domestic level, on an international level too people buy wholesale toys. Toys of other countries tend to have a large market across their borders. For instance, certain Indian toys are exported to various other countries and likewise toys from other countries are imported. Basically wholesale toys are cheaper than the ones available in the local retail market. That is because the wholesalers sell their stock at a price lower than the marked market price. Sometimes manufacturers themselves take bulk orders. Sometimes there is a large demand for a particular toy since it is being promoted in a movie. Also some new animated character could just become a household toy and because of its initial popularity the demand maybe so much that it can only be met when dealing with a wholesaler.
