   Like scarves are worn around the neck or draped around any part of the body to make a fashion statement. It is also worn around the head. Wearing a scarf around the head is not necessarily fashionable. As a matter of fact it is more like a protective gear.
 
While traveling, women mostly wind it around their head so that the breeze does not disturb them. With the increasing levels of pollution in India, head scarves can protect your nose and mouth from dust particles. People traveling on two-wheelers usually use the head scarves.
 
In some religions in India it is quite required of the lady to wear a scarf on the head. As in the Muslim religion whenever a lady sets out of the house she has to put a head scarf on. In the Indian Sikh community, the scarf is required to be put on when the lady is at the place of worship. Even Indian Paris’s tie a short petite scarf around their head.
 
These kinds of scarves are usually square shaped and wide in breadth. The two ends are brought together in such a way that a triangle is formed. You have to tie the two ends below your neck or at the nape of your neck.
