While fruits and vegetables are available according to the seasons, so also is the case for garments. It is but obvious that the warm woolen clothes of winter cannot be worn in the sweltering summers. Similarly summer wear is locked away in the colder seasons.

Summer dresses are usually made from light material that let the skin breathe. What does this mean? Fabrics are of various textures. They could be thick and heavy of something soft and light.

The latter is a preference in summers. The colors worn in summer differ from those worn in other seasons. Even the prints are different. Usually summer clothing are of lighter shades such as the pastels and white. Off-white or cream is another preferred shade. A lot of people prefer flowery prints in the hot season. Darker colors are definitely stacked away. Most summer dresses as sleeveless and the length usually goes down to the ankles.

 

 Summer dresses worn in India range from the Salwaar Kameez to the western designs. People prefer large and open prints or something that is dainty like daisies and butterflies.

The dresses for the hot season are usually loose and baggy in fit. This helps the body to breathe especially where the summers are extremely hot and humid. The ideal time to purchase dresses for the summer season is in the winter or other seasons when summer sales are held.

This is because anything sold off-season is far cheaper than otherwise.
During the other seasons clothes merchants try to sell off all their merchandise that has no present demand. Thus, they cut down on their price.
