Cricket, Tennis, Table Tennis, Golf, Football, Baseball,
Soccer, Hockey, Athletics, Swimming, Gymnastics, Billiards, Skiing, and
the list goes on; are the sports that are popular all over the world.
Across the globe almost every one indulges in some sport or the other,
either directly or indirectly. Those who participate in at least any one
of the above-mentioned games is considered directly related to sports.
The indirect participants are those who enjoy cheering on others whether
at the domestic, local, national or international level. Whether you are an active or passive sports enthusiast, you surely take interest in collecting sports memorabilia. These consist of equipment used by famous sportspersons, their autographs, recording of famous games and competitions, their press-clippings, etc. In India, more than sports enthusiasts in general, we have cricket fans in particular. Boys and girls participate in various contests to win sports memorabilia. Often after a game, the sports memorabilias are usually auctioned across the world, where the proceeds go towards supporting some charity organization or the other. Baseball and Basketball enthusiasts in America not only spend a lot on collecting their favorite players objects, but also to get seats for the games.
