children's sermons
One of the most important criterion of childrens sermons is it should be memorable and interesting. It should give the children the impression that they are part of the sermon and will be able to absorb the message or word that is being relayed to them.
Childrens sermons can take on an interactive form. Involvement of children into the church/prayer group helps make them feel they are very much a part and would further help them in appropriately understanding the message.
Childrens sermons can be enacted by the members of the childrens group along with a Sunday School teacher or Pastor taking the role of Jesus or of an animator. Skits too can be organized whereby through active participation the children get the spirit of the message. The parables that Jesus related to the crowds make very good themes as sermons for the children to enact.
During Christmas or Easter, as part of the childrens sermons, the pastor of the church can suggest that the children put up a play (with the help of group leaders) on the Christmas story or the Resurrection.
Childrens sermons can become the basis of bringing children closer to God by explaining the word through objects. For example Gods overflowing love could be symbolized by a bowl/pitcher of water.
