When the graceful uniform of silky black and white
bounces like a blur in and out of water, displaying its acrobatic
skills, the world watches, aghast. Intelligent and lovable, friendly and
talented; that’s a dolphin for you. Dolphins are a loved lot and seen as
an emblem of friendship. They are a favorite amongst kids too owing to
their playful nature. It’s this unique trait of the animal that Dolphin
statues are one of the most popular figurines. Since water is it’s first home and earth the second, dolphins make a great lateral subject for dolphin statues. Dolphin statues are used for various purposes, thus they come in different types, make, sizes giving the customer a labyrinth of choice. E.g. one type of statue is used as fountain, thus they are made of marble or brass with stone base. Sizes range from 10 feet to 30 feet and crystal figures. Some are made with a single dolphin, or a pair or still better, a whole family. They are also made available in various forms such as lawn ornaments. These are again available in marble and brass with intricate designs. Dolphin statues that are used as home décor are made with extra grace and care. Pods of playful dolphins in frosted acrylic with blue tinges to denote waves, delicate figurines supported by stainless steel frames, centre tables, dining table pieces, desktops, gigantic corner pieces made with marble, brass, crystal, resin and patina finish et al. Dolphin statues made of bronze are quite popular too. One of the most popular postures of these statues is its ‘bouncing from the water’ pose with the droplets leaving its slender skin and the rippling splashes it creates in the small whirlpool as it tears it apart and jumps in mid-air. And the dolphin will be forever remembered for that. ~ author Karishma Bajaj.
