career personality test

Personality is a complex term of emotions, opportunity and skills when related to a career. There are traits that are influenced by external conditions and others seem to be rather inborn. Getting the right candidate and selection of the best is a major task for all human resource personnel. There are several types of persona that would suit a job and hence one can also self assess their own style to gauge a career option.

Psychological counselling is also part of a personality test. The counselors at the institute are trained and qualified to suit a test after judging the candidate. This is a two-way method to find out whether the candidate will suit the job profile and vice versa. It is also right to say that personality of a person changes as per experience, maturity, age and position. Hence most Human resource channels seek a continuous feedback and redressal process to check for the right candidate to continue a profile or suggest a new skill to the employee.

The career test is a research-based personality questionnaire which focuses on your temperament, aptitude and attitude while handling routine functions. For e.g. in case the result shows an aggressive behavior then such personnel’s are go-getters and will suit target oriented jobs. There are several questions that appear similar but the right answer actually shows the personality in the correct light. Simple details or ‘myself’ theory is expressed via questions and a personality trait is justified as an outcome.

Questions are not directly related to other streams or diverse career influences but here are mainstays like decision making, punctuality, compassion and humane related qualities that efface during the career personality test. ‘Whom would you attend first, the ringing telephone or the client facing you?’ may seem a complicated question but the evaluator here is actually judging the multi-tasking aspect of your personality. The quality of multi tasking is a highly valued global aspect required for all job profiles.

A counselor has several personality tests programmed as per the experience, age and industry experience of the candidate. There are general psychological parameters to judge the candidate via a series of questions and other factors like body language and knowledge level which completes the picture. The final result is interesting and it is a path of self discovery as we try to know ourselves better as to how we conduct ourselves in our professional lives.
