VOIP mobile phones

Mobile phones have had a great history and they have changed a great deal over the years. Yet, it seems we are not done with new mobile phone revolution. From the first mobile that was invented in bell labs to the date, we have constantly been privileged to get our hands on latest invention in mobile technology. VoIP mobile phones are the latest addition to the ever improving and forever surprising world of cell phones.

In terms of mainstream phone technology, VoIP mobiles are definitely the next major step. VoIP refers to voice over internet protocol. Using VoIP technology, one can do voice communication over the internet. One needs to have a broadband connection through which signal travels from one address to another. The quality of internet connection very much determines the voice quality of VoIP phone service.

The basic essentials for using VoIP phone technology are, computer, internet connection, speakers and microphone. Several new companies have launched new VoIP phones in the market that are very much similar to regular telephones in terms of look. The functional pattern is quite same however technology being used is different. Quite a good number of people in urban cities are using VoIP phones as main home telephones.

In technical terms, VoIP is a communication way that takes Analog audio signals which is also our current method of talking and adapts them to become digital data that can be comfortably transferred over the internet. The main advantage of using this service is drastic reduction in call charges. Compared to traditional phone lines, VoIP phone service costs very less. However, one thing to be noted here is that it is not available everywhere as of now.

VoIP phone technology can only be used in conjunction with wireless internet connection. Going by the R&D being done on this technology, VoIP phone service is soon going to become next flag bearer of mobile phone industry. There are good numbers of VoIP mobiles in the market that use both old way of making a call and VoIP as well. If the wireless internet connection is available one can use it as VoIP mobile phone else it can always be used in the traditional method.
