If you are planning for a baby or on the verge of having one, you had better start planning for the first phase of your parenthood with the infant clothing. This is quite different from baby clothes. Clothing for infants require much more care in its selection. Infants are very fragile during the first few days of their encounter with this planet.
You must remember that infants have just left the protection and comfort of the womb to enter into this strange world. Infants are so sensitive in these initial few hours that everything that comes into contact with them must be carefully chosen. The slightest harshness in the cloth might cause a rash on the skin of the baby. Therefore picking up infant clothing will require you to consider a lot of factors.
Based on the season that you will be expecting for the arrival time of your baby, you will have to choose the fabric for your infants clothing. In case the baby is timed for the winter or monsoon time, make sure you have amply stocked the woolen infant clothing. But while picking the wools you will have to be doubly careful as wool tends to be scratchy otherwise.
And if you are expecting the monsoon, make sure you pick the best soft and light cottons. The lighter the fabric, the easier your infant’s sensitive skin will find it to breathe through it. And it goes without a mention that any piece of the infant clothing must be washed carefully before it comes in contact with your baby. And make sure you soak it in a softener before washing too.
