Variety is the spice of life, and the
diversity in toddler costumes is sometimes breathtaking. Strange but true,
toddlers like to imitate everything that they see and toddler costumes give
them an opportunity to be whatever or whomever they want to be. It
transports them into a world of make belief for a short spell of time and
they just love every moment of it.
Animals are an inevitable part of a toddler's existence and that is why
toddlers love dressing up in animal costumes. Dogs, cats, monkeys and
bunnies are all time favorites while costumes of bears, dragons, kangaroos
and dinosaurs follow a close second. As all these costumes come complete
with the tail and ears, the toddlers feel and act the part of the animal
very realistically. The raccoon, skunk, frog and duck Costumes also have
takers but maybe not to the same extent.
Classic costumes on one hand are available for Dracula, the devil, Ninja and
the bat and on the other hand cater to baseball and football players,
bikers, and if you want to depict your strength outwardly, there is always
the karate costume - the black better. On the lighter side, there is the
eternal clown costume which toddlers just love. If you want to be a pumpkin
or a flower, then so be it - you have a costume to help you in your task.
Hey! Toddler girls do not feel left out. You can dress up as a 16th century
princess, be a fairy complete with the wand or even an angel or bride
complete with the bouquet. Maybe the girls want to be tough -a soldier in
the army, a petite pirate or the tough western cowboy costume always come in
handy. The television and books have always influenced toddlers and the
pictures of sleeping beauty, snow white, peter pan and little bo peep
impress them greatly. Be it a rag doll, superman, Alice in wonderland or
Robin Hood, there are costumes for any character or role that the toddler
wants to play. Whether the characters are historical or merely movie stars,
today it is possible for toddlers to be anyone they please. There are
costumes and more costumes to suit any pocket and fit any bill.
If the toddler wants to feel really grown up and pretend to be a fireman, a
miner, a professor or a mechanic, there is no problem at all. There are
costumes, which make the toddler feel the part to perfection. Indeed the
world of toddler costumes is infinitely bigger than the toddlers themselves.
