Ceramic bearing

The ceramic bearing is used for multiple reasons that include the following:
·        As far as longevity is concerned, they are considered to have comparatively the longest life, amongst all other types of bearings.
·        They can withstand extreme temperatures ranges without undergoing any kind of harm or damage, yet functioning optimally.
·        The spindle needle within the bearing unit is far higher than those used in other bearings.
·        They require very less lubrication in comparison to others, and in certain types of ceramic bearings, no lubrication is required at all.
·        The noise created by the use of these bearings is far less, and almost negligible in comparison to those used traditionally.
·        According to the engineers the ceramic components within the bearing unit are created in a way that they increase the stiffness of the bearing by an average of 15 to 20%, in comparison to those made entirely out of steel.
·        The surface o this type of bearing is extremely smooth, thereby decreasing the probability of damage due to the contaminant particles on the other surface.
·        It is manufactured and treated in a way making it highly corrosion resistant.

Keeping all these benefits in mind, ceramic bearings, in spite of being on the more expensive scale, are yet being increasingly used.
