brass hardware

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. It is yellowish in color. As far as the alloy composition is concerned, it consists of 67% copper and 33% zinc. This metal is primarily used to manufacture ornaments, various hardware objects used in bathrooms and otherwise, utensils and musical instruments. One can even see brass plaques placed at cemeteries with engravings about the deceased person.

Brass is a non-corrosive metal, which is basically an alloy of copper. In many countries it is also minted into coins, which is used as currency. This metal is a valuable manufacturing material because of its hardness and workability. Therefore, brass hardware is far more preferred than hardware made from any other metal.

Brass hardware is used because of the lifespan and sturdiness. These hardware products are also used as bathroom fittings. In fact most modern day bathrooms have taps made from brass. Brass curtain rods with exquisitely designed knobs look beautiful.

In India, brass hardware is available in almost any store dealing with household fixtures and furnishing products. The price range of this product varies depending on the quality and finish. The metal can be molded into ordinary sub-standard designs, or something exquisite. The price also depends on the purity of the alloy. Irrespective, if you are doing up your home, remember that brass products should be your preference.
