Bronze has been one of the prime metals used in the
sculpturing industry. This is primarily because it requires minimum
maintenance since it has a self-protecting coating that develops within
a short period of time. Bronze is a sturdy alloy of copper. This metal can be polished to create different finishes, according to one’s preference. For those who prefer the new, shining finish there is the highly polished bronze. If you are one who likes antiques artifacts, then you have the option of antiqued bronze. There is also a rustic finish, which gives a traditional feel to the sculpture. Bronze fountains have been ornamental in most Indian royal homes of the times gone by. From gigantic fountains to the smaller ones placed in the garden, bronze was a preferred metal. In fact today more and more homes in India have miniature bronze fountains. The popularity is not so much about the metal, but the fountain as per Feng Shui. A fountain is considered an auspicious artifact to be kept at home, as it is believed to attract good fortune. Because of its longevity, this metal is preferred. Though it is a sturdy metal, it can be crafted into various designs. From large fountains to smaller compact one’s, all are available as per requirements. Each one is finely handcrafted. Some have engravings, yet others are adorned with gemstones. It is all about one’s preference and budget. Even the styles vary from something Indian to western and Grecian, or even Chinese.
