Before anyone learns how to make origami, it is important that they understand what origami really is all about. Most people wonder whether origami refers to folding of just paper, or whether the art extend to other mediums such as sheet metal or edible paper-thin pancakes. Many other people wonder whether origami is a craft or is an art. And of course it could be both. A common question that is also encountered is whether the definition of origami allows for some amount of gluing and cutting also. Or is the origami model arrived at purely through folding? |
