People the world over have a passion for movies. Almost
every country has a full-fledged flourishing film industry. However the
two largest moviemakers of the world are Hollywood and Bollywood.
The former belongs to the United States of America and the latter to
India, more specifically Mumbai. These two countries are said
to have the richest film industries and their film stars are known
universally. People who have a passion for movies spend a lot of their income on movie memorabilia. This could range from collecting movies, to props and costumes of movies, posters, postcards, star autographs, almost anything that represents the movies. In the southern region of India, fans have gone a step further by constructing a temple in honor of a few of the stars of their film industry. Movie buffs not only collect films of their own country, but also watch and collect other international movies. Some are known to have their own library of books pertaining to moving pictures of the past and present, along with autobiographies and biographies of famous stars. There are people who take their hobby of collecting movie memorabilia so far that they actually attend auctions bidding for their favorite star’s costumes, props, etc. For some a picture taken with popular Bollywood actors like Amitabh Bachan, etc., is probably the most treasured object they can ever own.
