Of course after this initial development phase by the Indians the latter part of the Malaysian Movie’s industry growth and development was the result of the endeavors of many races. The Chinese who became the producers, distributors and exhibitors provided the money.
On the other hand the Indians took care of the technical aspects of the Malaysian Movies. The Indian provided all the technical talent by becoming the directors and technicians to the rich talent of actors provided by the Malaysian Movie Industry. In fact till today the Malaysian Movie Industry produces movies where the commercial and cultural goals are met simultaneously.
B.S. Rajhans who had directed the first Malaysian film left a deep imprint in the Malaysian Movie industry. This imprint resulted in an influx of an interesting array of Indian film directors into the Malaysian Movie. This influx happened in the Malaysian Movie industry largely between the period of 1947 to 1962.
