inspirational poetry

Through the ages, one of the most important roles of literature has been to inspire readers. So whether it is the detailed biographical or autobiographical works, or the epic poems, or then fictional tales that have been figments of the author’s imagination they have in some way or the other inspire readers.

In fact ever so often readers would talk about how a particular literary work has transformed their life completely. Probably they were down in the dumps and eagerly looking for a way in which they could lift their life, and reading a story of or poem actually gave them the much-needed solution.

Writing inspirational poetry has known to change many lives. In fact, all prescriptive religious texts of India have been written in the poetic format, and have actually been able to inspire people to participate in rituals and follow religious ideologies, in order to bring a humane way of living.

Apart from that if one reads the poetic folklore written by poets across India, one can see the passion with which they have penned their thoughts. In fact the rhyming lines read and learnt by children remain imbedded in their memory through their lives, and actually has inspired them to achieve all that they do.

When you ask a poet whether they actually sat down to write their piece of literature with the aim of inspiring the reader, they’re answer would be somewhat in the affirmative, basically stating that they aimed at making a difference to human existence.

Poets have written inspirational poems to promote feelings of patriotism, unity, respect, faith in god, strength, courage, love, passion, etc. In fact, almost every poem penned anywhere in the world has some deep-rooted message. That is why when studying or reading poetry one is encouraged to read between the lines. Delving into the possibilities of what the poet probably has wanted to say.

In fact, if one co-relates the life of the varied poets and their works, they will come across situations in life that brought them to the pen and paper. And primarily it has been to spread vital messages to all those who would read their rhythmic-life-changing words. ~ author M. Hemdev
