Rolling out in the market from the month of June to August to buy raincoats
in India is a normal phenomenon. Raincoats or umbrellas during rainy season
not only becomes want but a need or rather say necessity and are easily
available in the market at reasonable rate.
Option between raincoats and umbrellas can be adopted according to
convenience however raincoats can never replace umbrellas as well as
umbrellas can never replace raincoats as both of them has its own benefits.
Raincoats are considered to be more protective
wear from rains as compared to umbrellas though it is little inconvenient to
carry and cannot be used by all family members that is they cant share one
raincoat. However higher version of raincoat which is wind cheater can be
shared however its not a full proof protection from rains.
Raincoats in India still has not become a fashion statement though it is
available in various styles and brands and one of the reason may be less of
advertisements and promotions. Branded raincoats are easily available in
pantaloons, Shoppers stop and many other branded stores but still people
prefer to buy it from street because of its low cost and less usage.
Raincoats are to be seen more in use among childrens than adults and are
available in one piece, two or three with a hood with an attractive colors
such as red, green, blue etc. There are various factors that are need to be
considered while buying raincoats such as price, size and material which can
be of rubber as well as rubber. Plastic is preferred more than rubber due to
less weight and less cost.
Raincoats in India still have a big market to erupt but however it is
overlooked may be because it is a seasonable wear and can be replaced by
umbrellas.
