Kids love to collect toys. But too many toys mean too much of
strain on the storage space. So here’s your recourse – a toy chest. It
is the best way to store your kids’ toys as everything can go into one
big storage box. However you have to be a little careful with a toy chest. When opened, it should not slam shut on to those nimble fingers. So you should make sure when the hood of the box is raised to a particular position, the hood should be able to stand in that position. Else you could put foam on its edges so that it shuts slowly. Also make sure the chest has ventilation as kids love to climb into it. So incase they do, there should be some passage of air in that closed chest. Also a reminder that one should never lock the chest from outside. To be on the safer side you must try to educate your child on the hazards of climbing into the chest. Make your child understand the way you best know, as long as you are making sure that your child does not climb in during your absence. A toy chest can contain a lot of toys. And it will consume a lot of your time to search one particular toy. It is even more of a hassle when you have more than one such chests. Putting up labels on to the box helps you and your toddler understand where the cars or the trains’ are kept. A plastic chest is even feasible as it allows a see-through feature letting your child know what’s in. These chests are available in different styles in India. You can go creative with a pirate styled chest. They are famous and have a niche style.
