On the face of it wedding chairs may see insignificant, but imagine if you have to stand through the entire wedding ceremony, you might wish that you had never gone to the wedding at all. The chairs take the weight off your feet and allow you to enjoy yourself.
Whatever be the type of chair, some features are common — they are stackable, easy to move and can be designed to match the mood of the wedding. They are elegant but do not compromise on practicality. There could be a combination of bigger chairs for the adults and smaller ones for the younger guests. There are padded chairs and chairs with particular fabric that would add to the atmosphere of the wedding, or chairs could be fitted with rattan. The numerous permutations and combinations possible allow you to create the correct ambience.
Let us briefly look at some of the chairs that can be used. Sturdy metal
chairs are common as they withstand the rigors of being pushed and pulled.
Some of them have vinyl seats and backs and seat pads which are detachable.
The colors of the seat pads can be changed to suit your needs and range from
gold, burgundy, ivory, blue, to black and dark green or blue. Of course if
you want a silky finish ask for silky covers. Jewish wedding ceremonial
chairs are made from anodized aluminum and fabric. They are extra sturdy, as
they have to support the wedding couple when they are lifted in the air
during the wedding ceremony. From metal, the scenario can easily change to
plastic. Such wedding chairs are easy to clean, stackable and also come with
vinyl-upholstered seats
Wood has always been a favorite especially the Maple hardwood-folding chair,
padded and upholstered. They are sturdy; never need painting can be padded
and easily cleaned and stacked. White wooden chairs lend that finishing
touch to a white wedding. Chairs built from beech wood, are available in
different wood color finishes and have padded seats that are equally
colorful. Some wedding chairs are made from fine teakwood covered with white
metal or silver with floral designs engraved on it.
The type of wedding often determines the kind of chairs used. If it is a
strawberry wedding, the tables are decked with forest strawberry flowers and
the chairs are covered with green fabric. A lavender wedding has tables
draped in violet cloths and chairs covered with dark violet material. Chairs
have either violet or green covers in a striped wedding. An olive old
fashioned rose wedding has tables decorated with rose colored satin bows
accompanied with green covered chairs and in a next flower wedding the
chairs are covered with colors that match the tablecloths each one having a
different motif depicting different flowers. If weddings are exciting,
wedding chairs can be made to look equally exciting.
