artificial trees

Artificial trees are the chosen option for those who live in limited apartments and still long for a touch of green to relieve the concrete monotony of modern urban living.

Artificial trees are increasingly being used in offices and homes. Another huge market for artificial trees is entertainment complexes like theatres or restaurants, where a real tree would attract insects and other forms of animal life that human normally do not like to meet on an evening out.

Artificial trees mostly have ornamental value and are now available in a variety of species, ranging from the tropical to the fern. The most popular form remains, of course, a synthetic pine tree, for use during Christmas. Some families prefer artificial trees because they can be reused the next year, will not shed pine needles and even come pre-decorated in many stores.

These plants are durable and will last over the years. They are often made of plastics like polyvinyl chloride.

The leaves of many artificial trees are made of silk. Sometimes, real plant materials are also used. The trunk could be made of fibreglass, but a natural bark would cover it. Artificial trees are lighter and easier to transport. While buying one however, keep in mind factors like whether or not the leaves are supple and soft, colour variations and flexibility. It is also important to check whether it is fire retarded, because artificial trees can also catch fire, giving off potentially dangerous fumes.Landscape designs author A Zaidi.copyright data 2004 Indianchild.com
