how to get rid of mice

Mice are more than pests. They not only eat away you food but also bite unwanted stuff and make a thorough mess. On realizing that there is a mouse in your house it can be quite disturbing and if action is not taken in time then the situation can get quite out of hand.

It has been found that a half an inch of gap is enough for mice to get through it. So seal all the cracks and small openings in and around your home. You can use steel wool to block some openings. They will keep rats and other pests at bay. Check around pipes and or any untouched space in your house. In India rats are a constant problem if you are residing on the ground floor. Hence give your surrounding a thorough check to search for mice.

If you are wondering how to get rid of mice then you have two options, one is the trap and the other poisoning. If you have pets and little children in the house then you should opt for the first option. There are different types of traps available these days. You have the traditional spring trap, wood trap, live trap and the latest glue trap. A glue trap is where the rat gets stuck to the glue and is unable to rescue itself. However make sure kids are not around the place where you have kept the trap.

You know how to get rid of mice with poison. Here the only problem is that you do not know where is the carcass of the mouse unless you get the odor. Hence poisoning should is not a healthy option.

Where food and other edibles are concerned keep them in metal containers. Keeping them in cupboards is no relief as mice can practically climb anything. Also clean up after meals and after the pets are done with their food. However if nothing works then get a dog or a cat.   ~ author Karishma Bajaj
