You can install speaker systems outside on to a wall or even inside your wall. If the building is a new construction fitting speakers inside the wall is less cumbersome as you can easily get to the back of your wall and install the speakers.

If you want to install speaker systems into the wall of an old construction it can take from no time to a whole lot of time. That depends on your expertise and know-how. Professionals do this all the time and know the tricks of the trade. You too can achieve the required result but it will only take a whole lot of extra time.

To install a speaker system into the wall of an old construction you will need a large electrical drill, installer’s drill bits, an electric saber, a normal wire snake and a utility knife.

Begin by marking the location onto the wall. You may have to move a few inches if there is an obstruction in the wall. By tapping horizontally on the wall you can understand the location of the studs by hearing the reverberations the tapping brings. Once you have located the studs in the wall drill between them, stop exactly when you have penetrated the front surface.

Then cut a hole in the wall to mount the speaker. After that put the paper template, this is normally given for in-wall speakers. You then have to trace out the speaker template section and cut it out. Snaking is then done to bring the wires up to the hole you have cut out. It is always beneficial to have an assistant so that while snaking you know how far the wires are from the cut-out-hole. 

On successfully snaking the wires into the hole you can tape them securely to the speaker wires. Follow the remaining instructions given by the manufacturer to complete the job. ~ author Karishma Bajaj.
