Decorative lights are commonly known as chandeliers. These accessories
are used in almost all households across the globe. They maybe simple
lanterns hanging in homes of rural India, or the grand large Chandeliers
that once belonged to the palaces and today mansions. Even today when
one travels to the royal homes of ancient kingdoms one can see the extra
large chandeliers still hanging there. As it is always believed that size does not matter, but this is not always the case with chandeliers. Yes, smaller chandeliers are preferred when the home is a smaller urban apartment. But, in larger homes a small chandelier would be lost. Also the room in which it is hung matters when it comes to selecting the size. A drawing room seems complete with a large chandelier, as this is usually the biggest room in the house. The bigger ones are also preferred for doing up hotels and large restaurants. Chandeliers that are larger in size in comparison to the other are usually the crystal ones. When traveling to the ancient Indian palaces that make up the Indian heritage, one of the first things a tourist would notice are the huge Chandeliers that adorn the ceilings. These chandeliers were hung from the ceiling in a way that just as darkness would seep in the courtiers would pull down the chandeliers and light up the candles, or kerosene lamps. ~ author Karishma Bajaj.
