metal candle holders

Much over a century ago candles was a necessity everywhere in the world, but today there seems to be a larger variety in terms of the candle holders that are available. One can find some of the most exquisite antique candle holders of the times gone by, yet the variety was far less.

Metal candle holders are sculptured out of bronze, iron, brass, silver, sterling silver, aluminum, steel and wrought iron. In India, there are craftsmen who make ethnic and traditional holders that remind one of rustic India. These are generally handcrafted and adorned with gemstones or painted with designs that represent Indian art and culture. Most people keep these in their temples or maybe as a showpiece in the drawing room.

Though we have electricity in our homes, a lot of people prefer the candlelight rather than bulbs and tube lights. They feel that lighting up candles in the late evening adds energy in the house and also saves one from unnecessary consumption of energy.

In fact rather than purchasing ceramic candle holders, one would rather buy the metal ones. Metal candle holders have a long lifespan with no worries of breakages, especially with children at home. They are not very expensive either. The wrought iron ones is available in a vast number of designs to match with any kind of home décor.
