The mere mention of Stained glass lamps brings to mind the renowned name of Tiffany with which it has become synonymous.

When Thomas Edison discovered the light bulb in 1878 and the filament a year later. It proved to be inspirational for Tiffany to create his signature lamps. LC Tiffany was extremely thrilled that his stained glass would no longer depend on the illumination from the sun. He then discovered the copper foil method of joining together pieces of stained glass.

There exists the famous Museum Collection of Tiffany lamp Reproductions where Dale Tiffany has encapsulated the unique craftsmanship, design and timelessness of one of the greatest designers of American decorative art.

The collection showcases the rare and exotic glass colors and textures that are found in LC stained glass lamps. The bases come in bronze, brass and types of cast metals.

For those enthusiastic or more adventurous, there are several books or workshops in your city which conduct classes on making stain glass lamps.
