wall paneling

Various things such as stains, holes or gouges might sometimes damage the wall paneling that adorns the rooms in your house. If the area where the damage is spread is not very large then you might still be able to find a way to avoid replacing the whole wall.

In order to find a matching wall paneling, you will need to run a check on the manufacturer from whom the paneling might have been procured. If you are lucky, then chances are that the company or the manufacturer might just still have some matching wall paneling available for purchase.

And if you don’t get that lucky, you will have to find some alternate methods to repair your wall paneling or just cover up the place where you end up removing the paneling.

Given below are some of the alternatives that you might consider using in case you are faced with a similar situation:
 - You should try and hang a painting, plaque, clock, mirror or wall hanging, which might just suitably cover the trouble spot on your wall.
 - You can also try and run the carpeting up the lower part of your wall. Using a remnant piece of your carpet can do this or you can also use carpet tiles. This will in fact also add some color and softness to your décor and at the same time help in protecting your wall from nicks and scars.
 - If the damage in the wall is near to the floor area, then you can try and cover up with a baseboard.
 - And of course fabric is always one of the greatest saviors in most similar cases. What you can also do is to use fabric to match curtains or your pillows. You can apply this fabric to the damaged part of the wall paneling and in fact create a design.

-Another very interesting option is to replace the marred wall paneling with a contrasting panel.

-One of the simplest alternatives is to simply cover the damaged area with wallpaper.

Well, of course all the above alternatives sound easy and simple, but there are a few things that you might need to arrange before you start on the work. Some of the materials you will need to redo your wall paneling are given below:

-Level
-Measuring tape
-Hammer
-Keyhole saw
-Power saw or handsaw
