garden statues

A garden is an extension of one’s home…a lateral
rendition of one’s personality and aesthetic standards. People are very
sensitive when it comes to the maintenance or overall appearance of
their gardens because they are like ‘welcome’ motifs of their home.
After all the first impression is a ‘lasting’ impression. There are a dozen types of garden statues available, designed by world-class sculptors and designers. These vary from animals to religious symbols, fairies and angels, flowering plants and abstracts too. Again these are available in different material, prices etc. depending upon the make and quality. The choice of a garden statue would depends upon the theme, if one wants to give it a theme that is. E.g. gardens are looked upon as a natural ecosystem, so one can give it the look of a ‘forest’ with various animal garden statues. Rabbits, lions, elephants are quite picturesque but even frogs can make a great décor piece! For a softer look, water fountains (can be accompanied with coloured lights) make a great bet and add a graceful hue to the chromatic landscape. Religious or mythological symbols as these statues
make yet another interesting décor element. Ranging from popular saints
to Christ, from Buddha to Indian Ganesha, Gods and angels
are also a favorite choice for several people. Gods are considered as a
protective shield and thus kept in a garden to ward of evils and ‘keep
watch’ from ill-minded people and other hazards.
