one stroke painting

For novice painters this is a friendly style to get started with. It is
an acrylic decorative painting style where variegated styles can be
achieved with just one stroke. What’s more, it can be done on metal,
plaster, wood, fabric, ceramic, glass and many other surfaces. Even
experienced painters have succumbed to this style as they can achieve
faster results. Many painters have taken a fancy to one stoke painting even in India. Simply because it lets you blend, shade, highlight all and more in just one stroke. This style of painting initiated with painting flowers. As this seemed simpler painters branched out to add more designs. Soon animals, the plant kingdom and even humans were added to the repertoire. The paint that can be used for this technique includes papier paints, folk art acrylics and enamels. Papier paints is easy for beginners when mixed with a clear flow medium and used with a stiff bristled brush. It is even simpler than folk art acrylics and enamels. In pottery the brushes are called pencils and are loaded with double or triple colours. Thus producing highlight, body colour and shadow, all at the same time. So, many complicated designs were covered with just one-stroke. The design didn’t look flat, it was given body, texture and depth with the shadow and intricate designs all possible in one-stoke. This style ushered in the ease to paint a leaf, flower, birds or any
difficult multi-layered design with just one stroke.
