Birthday party always reminds you of exciting games. Birthday party games are a great source of fun and frolic especially for children. Birthday parties for children are incomplete without games because that is what most children look forward to in a birthday party. Since there are so many kids together in a birthday party, games should involve all the children present.

It is however important to discuss these games with the planner prior to the birthday party. In case you are planning a party on your own, you can yourself plan a few birthday party games depending on the theme that you have chosen for the party.

For example, if the theme of the birthday party is based on a cartoon character, you can put up posters of that cartoon all over the party place and blindfold all the children. Each child is then given a pencil and he or she has to draw the eyes of that cartoon character. There is another fun game in which the children form a queue and a leader is chosen by picking up a chit. Now all the children have to stand behind the leader. They then have to follow the leader’s actions.

If the leader waves his arms, then all the other children have to do the same. Whoever fails to do so is out of the game. The actions done by the leader needs to be quick so that there are greater chances of someone making a mistake. Whoever remains till the end is a clear winner. Classic birthday party games like passing the parcel, tail the cat blind folded, dumb charades, musical chair, fire in the mountain are fun till date. These golden games can be lot of fun and can involve adults as well.

Decorate one wall of the place by sticking various kinds of chocolates and candies on it. Blindfold children and give them a basket. The child who collects the maximum number of candies in a fixed period of time say fifteen seconds is the winner. Alternatively, you can put candies in a jar and ask children to guess the exact number of candies put in. The child who guesses the right number, or comes closest, is a winner.
Birthday party games should not be about winning or losing, it is played primarily so that all the children can have fun and enjoy together.
