Earlier, it was a tradition for bridesmaids to be dressed uniformly. So while they felt miserable wearing identical clothes, no matter what the body type and age, it was a compulsion that they just had to wear what they had to wear. In fact their clothes wore matched from head-to-toe. And ask a teen bridesmaid how she felt about dressing exactly like the little five-year-old brat, surely she would give an embarrassed smile and walk away. However, the situation has changed now. Walking away from traditions, today, maintaining a particular color scheme, the bridesmaids are made to wear clothes that enhance their beauty. In fact today, bridesmaids are allowed to chose a style and cut that they feel flatters their body shape, makes them feel comfortable and most important they are happy wearing. But then, they are expected to take the bride’s approval, after all it is her day, primarily. One of the most advisable things you could do when working on the bridesmaids’ dresses is to pick a cut that would suit any body size and shape. If suppose the bridesmaids are of different sizes, then instead of choosing a common cut, choose a common shade. To add color to your wedding another piece of advice is to pick a color that has a large variation of shades and let each bridesmaid select the shade that she likes most. Your wedding day is your date with a dream come true and so you have the right to make the final decision regarding what you want your bridesmaids to wear. It all depends on the setting that you have determined for that special day. The color you like, the cut you prefer, it is your call. But definitely, what would add to the beauty of the day is to see everyone smiling and no one frowning over what they are forced to wear. ~ Editor K Bajaj.
