In the days gone by when traditions were strictly followed, keeping all the bridesmaids was actually a next-to-impossible task. They would have to be cajoled into wearing the uniform bridesmaids dresses. During the celebration you would have one or two of them sulking in a corner, disappointed with what she is wearing. But this scenario has changed as we have moved away from traditional to modernism.

Today, while the bride selects clothes for her bridesmaids she is advised to select a color she likes most and then let each one of her bridesmaids choose the shade she is comfortable wearing. Brides also are given a selection of dress cuts for her bridesmaids, from which she can select one that flatters every body type. Irrespective, gone are the days of uniform bridesmaids.

One of the most preferred options as an alternative to the traditional bridesmaids dresses is a two-piece outfit. This is a common choice because of the comfort aspect and its easy availability and choice color schemes. Along with the basic dress that are a host of accessories that accentuate the presence of the bridesmaids. These include hairdos, hats, the bouquet of flowers, the jewelry, etc.

While there are no restrictions as far the bridesmaids dresses is concerned, the present trend is that of warm and vibrant colors like the purples and reds. Orange and pink seem to be the most preferred in the latest list of preferred colors.

You are the one to set the stage for your wedding, so remember no matter what, you do have the final say as far as the bridesmaids dresses is concerned, but keeping their likes and dislikes in mind will go a long way in making your wedding a joyful occasion for everybody attending it.
