casual wedding dress

Nowadays a wedding dress is determined by the theme the couple has planned for their special day.  The wedding dress has thus taken a leap from, the traditional white in lace and satin to various colors and designs. 

In India, marriage is a very very formal occasion & hence we seldom find casual dressing except for wedding related functions or parties.

For instance, an outdoor wedding calls for a smart looking sundress for the bride, which could be in white, or any other lively shade.  It could be a smart knee length skirt suit enhanced with a smart belt. 

If the theme is Hawaiian, planning a Hawaiian outfit for the wedding is natural.  The out fit could be a summery mid-length dress or sarong with bold, flowery prints and an off shoulder blouse with a lei around the neck of the couple and their guests.  The women guests could wear bright colored hibiscus in the hair.

Beach weddings too are increasing in popularity. There are some uniquely designed 3-piece bridal wrap-around sets, which are available in a choice of fabrics and styles.  They come with pearl beads and fringes.  The groom of course can be totally comfortable in jeans and a casual shirt or Tshirt.

Theres a whole gamut of casual wedding dresses in all shapes and styles viz. one piece or two piece, long or short in a wide range of colors.
