The single most important object for
a bride on her wedding day is her bridal gown. More
brides are going in for designer gowns, nowadays.
After all, you get married once in a lifetime and no
expense is spared for the event.
Bridal gowns are traditionally of a
single colour, depending on your culture. In the
west, brides wear white or ivory gowns, while
eastern cultures mostly have brides dressed in red.
White symbolizes purity while red symbolizes
fertility.
While a bridal gown can be bought at
a store, getting a designer gown or signature
designer gown has its own advantages. It may not
necessarily be more expensive than a regular wedding
dress. A designer gown is more likely to be
exclusive and which bride doesn’t want to look
exclusive?
Also, if the designer himself (or
herself) is available, the bride can discuss what
she wants and can be advised on what styles and cuts
will make her look more elegant.
A good idea is to invest time in
window-shopping around a little.
Visit
all the stores and a few designer outlets. Discuss
prices and sizes and before you make a final
decision, try on a few gowns to test how the style
suits you.
