aeronautical engineering courses

Aeronautical engineering is considered to be one among the popular disciplines of all other engineering courses. India provides a good scope for the students interested in this. Most of the top engineering colleges of India provide a degree of engineering in aeronautical branch. However, a candidate needs to qualify the criteria of eligibility in order to get a seat in the desired institution out of the college list in India. The primary degree required among all the available aeronautical engineering courses is the Bachelor of engineering (B.E). It is also known as Bachelor of technology (B.Tech). Even diploma in Aeronautical Engineering is an available option other than the degree courses. The most reputed colleges in India for degree engineering are the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The aeronautical engineering is a worthy engineering course as well.

In order to opt for an Aeronautical engineering course one should have a good power in observing things. The mind of the student should have a mind with an analytical bent. He should be able to manage certain crisis and should be a good communicator. Besides all these the candidate must be healthy and free from colour blindness. Considering academic requirements, the candidate should have physics, chemistry and mathematics as pre-degree subjects. It is compulsory to qualify the joint entrance examinations conducted by the IITs. However, qualifying the All India Engineering Entrance Examination also may help to pursue the aeronautical engineering degree.

The courses in aeronautical engineering impart a multi-faceted training to all the students. This training covers areas including development as well as manufacturing missiles and aircrafts. These students may render their service to the defence as well as space science. However, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) employs most of the aeronautical engineers. The ministry of defence also contributes a lot in employing the students of the aeronautical degree. There is Government as well as semi-government organizations that may provide certain job opportunities for the students of aeronautical courses. These organizations may include Civil Aviation Department, National Aeronautical Laboratory, Hindustan aeronautics Limited (HAL) and many more. A good number of job opportunities are also available abroad for the pass-outs of aeronautical engineering courses. In today’s date, a good number of Indians constitute the population of aeronautical engineers abroad.

Aerospace engineering is a part of aeronautical engineering taught in the aeronautical engineering colleges. It deals with the techniques of manufacturing light air vehicles. It is not such hard a task as it seems in the aeronautical colleges. Besides having skills, one should also have that much of dedication towards this task in order to complete the engineering degree. A fascination towards aircrafts as well as their working helps a student aspiring for aerospace engineering. There are sufficient amount of carrier prospects for the aerospace engineers. The Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and national Aeronautical Laboratories (NAL) provide good job opportunities for the pass outs of aerospace engineering. One can also get into the aerospace branch after completing the mechanical engineering degree from any of the IITs.

The master degree engineering on aerospace engineering can be done abroad. A PhD degree really brightens up the career prospects. Even a number of private companies do give a wide spectrum of scope for aerospace engineers. These private companies mostly deal in the manufacturing as well as running of aircrafts. There are even companies that deal in the manufacturing of defense vehicles. All the private companies that have entered into the field of aerospace badly require candidates of aerospace engineering. Since this is a hard nut to crack, many of the students try to avoid the aeronautical engineering course. However, the students being able to qualify the joint entrance examination may get a chance to join in the aeronautical course.
