Jewelry Box

Materials

  • Box
  • Wrapping paper
  • Modge Podge

Instructions

Cut out the designs from the wrapping paper.   Lightly brush the back with Modge Podge and place the designs on box.

When dry brush Modge Podge over the entire box. Youcan also sponge the Modge Podge on to give it a really neat, textured finish.


You can completely cover the box with the decoupage, or paint the box firstthen just apply a few decorative designs.
 

 

Earrings

Materials

  • Quartz chips
  • Gold plated hooks and pins

Instructions

Purchase strings of amber, rose quartz and clear quartz chips from a local lapidary. also purchase gold plated hooks and pins. children string the chips on the pins and the adults, using needle nose pliers, bend the pins onto the hooks. (for pierced ears)

 

 

 

Gift Bags

Materials

  • Brown lunch bags
  • Stickers or other decorations

Instructions

Decorate brown lunch sacks with Christmas stickers and red and green marker "art".

 

 

Key Holder

Materials

  • Block of wood
  • Varnish
  • Small hooks
  • Brass ring

Instructions

Varnish a block of wood.  Add a few small hooks in the front and a brass ring on the back to hang by.

 

 

Miniature Vases 

Materials

  • Paint
  • Candle cups
  • Moss
  • Blue and white baby's breath
  • ribbon
  • Glue

Instructions

Paint 1 1/2" candle cups and stuffed them with moss. then insert blue and white baby's breath and attach a small bow to the front. The moss and baby's breath are also glued in case it got tipped over.
 

 

 

Picture Frame

Materials

  • Card board (of any color)
  • Tissue paper (different colors)
  • Modge podge 

Instructions

1) cut out a "picture frame" out of the cardboard (about the size of the picture that you would like to put in your frame)

2) rip up the tissue paper into pieces the size of a quarter

3) Put the modge podge on the frame 

4) stick a piece of tissue paper over the modge podge (you can overlap the tissue paper too.)

5) keep doing this until the whole cardboard frame is covered

6) then when you have the whole frame covered spread the modge podge on top of all of the pieces of tissue paper

7) Now you are ready to put a picture inside your frame and share it.
