World Environment Day in India 2010

On the occasion of World Environment Day, 5th June, Clean Mumbai Foundation and Green Commandos – Global warming / Climate change and MCGM plan to revive the campaign ” AAO KUTCH ALAG KARE “on segregation of garbage into wet and dry garbage. The wet garbage can be used for composting and can also be utilized for organic farming which is very important in the present times. The dumping grounds of Mumbai are full so this is the right time to educate people on separation of garbage and composting.

Gul Panag has agreed to support the AAO KUTCH ALAG KARE CAMPAIGN of clean Mumbai foundation as she is interested in composting and feels that we all should do our bit for the environment.

She is also a Green Commandos Icon and has started her blog for Green Commandos at BigAdda and on her portal www.gulpang.net

To utilize the wet garbage,Mr. Anil Ranglani from Sunsaar has prepared a kit which contains 3 pots to process wet garbage and a starter kit with accelerator powder ,neem powder etc which will help to compost the wet garbage. This will also be followed by service visits with extra charges. The full package costs Rs.3050/- each.

Clean Mumbai Foundation will give it at Rs. 2000/- to the first 25 customers till the occasion of world environment day. This offer is to give people a chance to try to make the best use of their garbage and save the environment with the “AAO KUTCH ALAG KARE” project.

This project is assisted by Hemendra Kothari Foundation, Mumbai.
