Asscher cut diamonds
|
|
The Asscher Cut Diamonds are not very different from the
emerald cut diamonds, with actual difference being in shape. The former
are square and the latter are rectangular. They both emit the same
brilliance.
As is the case with all diamond cuts, you should preferably make a purchase from a certified dealer. This will ensure that your diamond is a diamond and not a highly priced American Diamond or well-chiseled and polished piece of crystal or glass. The ideal length-to-width ratio of this diamond cut has been defined to be between 1.00 and 1.05. The name Asscher Cut Diamonds comes from the Asscher Brothers who had developed this variant diamond cut in the year 1902. This diamond has also been called the ‘Square Diamond Cut’ and has been made popular off late by various Hollywood stars. The Asscher can be placed as a single solitaire or in combination with other stones, when designing and crafting an exquisite, awe-inspiring engagement ring. Certified diamond dealers suggest that when one purchases Asscher Cut Diamonds then they must keep certain guideline figures in mind. This implies certain basic proportions to ensure genuineness of the diamond. Such as the color should be ‘G’; the ideal clarity should be VS2, depth percentage should range between 67% and 72%.
