plus size clothes |
| A size that is more than our usual size
of clothes. We always purchase clothes that fit us properly, then why
plus size clothes? It’s a trend that is contributed 70% by western
culture and 30% by Indian culture. The main target audience of plus size
clothes is the age group of 16-30.This is the age group wherein we get influenced by the way successful
and famous people dress up. Western culture mainly implies to all the
rock stars, pop icons, divas, and the Hollywood glitterati. These famous
western personalities always wear clothes that are loose and look as if
they are just hanging on their bodies. The singers esp. wear loose
clothes and they are considered cool for that dress up. Now who does not want to look cool, eh? So we wear clothes i.e. T-shirts and pants that are loose and make us look chick. Clothes that are tight and fitting are considered uncool and are a complete NO among this age group. Moreover, plus size clothes being plus size, they are also comfortable to wear. Let’s talk about the remaining 30% i.e. Indian culture influence. Indian has been known the world over not just for their food, music and tradition, but also for kurtas. We all have worn a kurta at least once in our lifetime. Kurtas have to be worn plus size and not tight and fitting. These with religious symbols on them are the most famous among the Indian and international hip hop crowd. Even plus size kurtas can make anyone look hot. In India, the trend of plus size clothes, started in the 70’s and is still going strong with well known Indian designers getting into the bandwagon. data(c)Indian child. all rights reserved. |
