The very first step required for transforming the plain tote is to cut off the handles. The next thing you need to do is to securely glue or sew the ends of the nylon band, 2 inches down, to the inner top of each side of the bag. Then in order to add some accessory looks, cut the wide ribbon in four equal pieces and arrange them in a perfect square on the front of the bag, then glue or sew them in place.

The next step to attaining some perfect tote bags is to add some paint to the rubber stamp and firmly press the stamp in the center of the square of ribbon. You can also glue or sew a layer of the trim around the top of the tote bags. You can also repeat the process on the other side of the bags if you want both sides of the bag decorated.

Instead of the nylon band try attaching other kinds of purse handles using large grommets, wire, beads or decorative ribbon as the strap.
