mens bathing suits

The spring warmth and the summer heat heralds many to dip themselves in the cooling waters – be it of the clubhouse pool, the gym and spa Jacuzzi, the swimming pool in the home backyard or the apartment compound; or the then the lake, pond, river, sea or ocean. But then before doing that there is a dress code to be maintained – a bathing suit.

The bathing suit is the basic essential one is wear when taking a dip in the water, in public places. According to fashion experts the bathing suits for men and women were invented, as wearing complete attire in water could cause skin diseases, most often than never – fungal infections. Thus, the bathing suits covering the private parts of the body were being stitched. They were made from extremely light material that had a feather touch. But the problem with these was that when dipping in water it would absorb so much water that it would become transparent. Then the whole purpose was lost.

As time went by textile and fabric specialists started inventing thicker synthetic fabrics to be tailored into men's swim suits. These bathing suits were initially the longer ones that were termed as cycling shorts. However, they were rather uncomfortable, as they fit extremely tightly, and it would cling onto the wet body, making it a tiring attempt to remove. Then came the modifications into shorter men's bathing suits.

As time went by mens bathing suits manufacturers created the boxers and briefs. For a brief phase there were the weird looking bloomers. As for the colours and prints there is no limit. From pastels, to stripes, to polka dots and the loud psychedelic prints.

The swimming trunks are generally tailored from lycra, which is a stretch material. This is in fact considered the ideal swimwear fabric, as when it water it takes the shape of the body, and yet as you change out of the wet swimwear it does not require much effort. Off late the swimwear is made from blends of lycra with other material so as to be wearer-friendly, not causing discomfort or body rashes.

Mens bething suits also make for ideal beachwear. All one needs to do is wear a t-shirt on top and enjoy the daylight beach, without bothering about sun-burn and showing too much skin. However, when purchasing swim suits one should not select something too tight, as it causes rashes and discomfort, and nothing too loose almost slipping off the body, lest one’s ready to embarrass themselves. There is no such thing as the right fit or the right color. Its all a personal choice. Its all about not feeling self—conscious in the minimal wear in the water. But one piece of advice, if your body is out of shape then avoid the briefest of briefs and go for something longer in dark solid shades.
