Chilling out is what it is all about! When
a person watches a movie each character that one watches reflects an
attitude with the kind of get up and threads worn by them. Even when you
watch people on the street you find a lot of them smartly dressed with
very casual clothes and even sportswear which is carried off well with
the latest trends of designed casual wear. Most people limit their
thinking of causal clothes to a t-shirt and jeans, not realizing how
much they are limiting the scope of well-hoofed grooming. In fact if you
sit back an think and look at the way you have country folk dress up
with little bit of watching oneself in the mirror, one can end up
virtually looking very classy with a little bit of intelligence; mixing
of styles and become reflections of sheer élan. For instance, our Indian
farmers regularly wear a woven loose vest with a single pocket at the
center of the chest and with sleeves. Now something like this on the
right shoulder would classify a man nothing short of a model to die for.
Add to this a floral scarf of a woman tied around the neck with a lasso
knot; you end up making a causal statement with a lot of attitude. Not only do you save cost, but you actually carry things of with a panache; besides being very comfortable. When it comes to the bottom wear most people restrict themselves to denims not realizing there is an entire universe of designs and fabrics meant to depict a casual attitude of freedom. A re-think on men's casual clothing may definitely yield a usage of fabric ranging from cotton sheeting to knitted nylon using a time-accepted ethnic design and cut that showcases mens casual clothing full of comfort and even elegance. Casual shoes today are available not only in canvas, but also in vinyl and oil soaked leather that adds definition to the attitude of being relaxed. Casual clothing today undergoes a lot of processing to achieve hues of heaven and earth, not to mention the rainbow in between. India today has designers who have actually epitomized ethnic Indian upper wear by creating statements with kurtis by simply cutting the length of our regular sleepwear kurta. Added to that they purposely forget to add buttonholes, button not included and voila, you have a pullover of sorts, which you can wear on anything. Be whatever, go wherever. Though our climate permits it the modesty of the Indian male does not let him accept the regular usage of tank tops and singlets, which are otherwise a statement of carefree attitude and complete casualness for males in the western world. Indian metro cities have gradually started accepting shorts – bermudas, hot pants, boxers and safari shorts – as a code of letting it al hang. All in all Indian casual clothing has come a long way, but we are still at the beginning of the casual evolution. ~ Category authored Karishma Bajaj.
