Wholesale fabric

Wholesale fabrics are usually found in a warehouse.  In India, dealers in wholesale of fabric buy goods directly from manufacturers or fabric importers, usually on credit system which can be upto six months. This fabric is often sold to retailers who then pass it on to the local stores and from there to the customer. Retail fabrics then are priced more than wholesale fabrics. So the customer pays inflated prices when he gets it from the local stores. The price at the local store is sometimes thrice as costly as the price at a wholesale store. Even if you get terrific discounts from the retail or local stores, when you buy wholesale fabric you really pay much less for the same fabric. However this is easier said than done, because wholesale dealers rarely advertise in the same way as local fabric stores do. The local supplier rarely parts with information regarding wholesale suppliers and hence the customer is always at the mercy of the local fabric store.

When you buy wholesale fabric, you need to do two things. Find the fabric that you like and specify the quantity that you want. Wholesale fabric can only be bought in bulk, the more you buy, the less you pay. The prices are very competitive. If you want to start a business, there is nothing like buying wholesale. While buying wholesale fabric over the Internet, information regarding the list of the fabrics that are available, their descriptions, the quantity of fabric on each roll, the different categories they fall into and the price list is forwarded. Wholesale fabric has to be bought by the roll. The fabric is not cut, is not measured and is not examined for quality. This being the case, some rolls may have more than the required quantity while some may have less. In spite of this, the competitive price ensures that you do not stand to lose.

If you buy wholesale fabric directly from the manufacturer, you can visibly identify what you want with respect to color and quantity, but over the Internet this becomes slightly more difficult. Of course the dealer does try to cater to your needs regarding color and size and in some cases sends a color swatch to confirm your requirements. In spite of all this, the dread that the fabric may not be what you actually want continues to persist.

Wholesale fabrics claim to be of top quality and the dealer claims that he will never sell you seconds. The risk is always there. Even top quality Wholesale fabric may have flaws, which are not discernible at first sight. Sometimes the risk pays off and sometimes it does not. It is often claimed that the fabric has been inspected to match product and quantity and it is also certified that there is no apparent damage to the fabric. Details regarding its nature, color, style, numbers, color, roll sizes, non-negotiable prices are all furnished. To what extent all this is genuine can be gauged only when you personally inspect the fabric.
