Hair styles for children

Children love looking their best. Dressing kids up is also what parents enjoy to make their honey buns look their best. Your child can stand out from the crowd with a unique hair style and there are so many styles you can choose from. While you are excited to dress up your adorable little darlings check out a few important things before you go and give them a makeover.

Consider your child’s Age
Always consider your child’s age. Never treat a small child like an adult. Avoid colouring or perming your child’s hair with chemicals because your child’s hair is sensitive. When chemicals have the capacity to damage an adult’s hair they can wreak havoc with a little one’s tresses. Check out some websites, child fashion magazines and find how children hair is dressed. Use colourful rubber bands, ribbons, bandannas and clips to dress their hair. You can tie high pony tails, half pony tails, French plaits, buns or just tie a ribbon over their flowing hair. For boys you can use a bit of mousse to style their hair. Give them some spikes or just a little puff over the crown. You can even give them some smart haircuts like their favourite super heroes. They will simply love you for it. For formal parties let them comb their hair back neatly. Let him be nothing short of a gentleman.

Occasion and Lifestyle
You can dress your child’s hair according to the occasion. If your child is headed for a picnic nothing is better than a high pony and boys could simply wear a bandanna. Let your little girl wear a summer hat if she likes to.

For parties you can experiment by curling your girl’s pony tail. Curl it with rollers. Avoid using heat based instruments. Dust some sparkle in it and she’s as cute as a princess. You can even let her wear a tiara or a nicely decorated hair band.

If she has a class presentation in school, tie her hair neatly into ponies or plaits with dark coloured ribbons or rubber bands. Let your boy comb back his hair or make a parting in the hair and comb it neatly.

While you are getting a new haircut done for your child always think of their daily routine. Check what the rules of the school are before you plan to get your little one some fringes or bangs. Boys usually like to grow their hair so keep a reward plan to motivate them to cut their hair on time.

Taking care of hair
Always talk to your child about his or her likes and dislikes about hairstyles. It will help you both understand each others’ issues with hair style preferences. Talking to your child about his or preferences will win you your child’s trust and keep away any disagreements. Whatever hair styles you give your child never compromise on hair care. Always nourish their hair with a good a diet, regular oiling and constant hygiene.
