marks ? Try some of these simple tips which may be of some
help.
Plan your
Study .
Decide how much time you need to spend on
each subject every week, and then make a weekly schedule.
Find out from your teachers when major projects, tests are due, and
put these on a calendar near you. Give more time to subjects
in which you are weak.
Ask Your Teacher. Your
teachers may have suggestions about what you can do to learn
more and improve in weak areas. Don't be afraid of your
teacher. Ask your teacher !
Learn from Mistakes . When
you get a bad marks, you naturally get angry and frustrated.
Now you should also use this to try to figure out what went
wrong. Did you wait until the last minute to study for a
test? or was there some other problem?
Get A Tutor or a friend to
help you.
If you are having a problem in a particular subject, a tutor
may be of temporary help. Or a student in a class ahead of
you who might be willing to help? Tell your parents about

it's hard to get started on homework, but if you agree to
meet with one or two friends to do your work you'll have a
built-in schedule. Warning: This won't work if you and your
friends decide to watch TV or play video games instead of

always time later to enjoy yourself.

- Get lots of sleep - at least 8 hours - to make
sure you're refreshed for the next day's tests.

down the music and television.
- Ask your parents, friends, and teachers for any
help you need.
- Make sure your feel comfortable with the room
temperature you are studying in.
- Sit on a comfortable chair when studying.
- Starting homework at the same time everyday may

- Keep materials like paper, pens, pencils, rulers,
and calculators nearby.
- Finish your homework as early as possible to
relieve stress.
- Take short, five-minute breaks to relax your
brain.
