The sun is out, but this time it is shining as fiercely as it can. Sweat trickles down from your face, down to your clothes and blots itself there. A few hours in the scorching Indian heat and you can get baked.
So how can you beat the heat ? Have more cooling drinks. Eat juicy fruits and plenty of water. But when you are out in the heat, the best way to do it is to wear something that does not burn your skin and keeps you comfortable.

Cotton is one material that has been synonymous with Indian summer fashion. As it keeps the body cool and reflects the sun rays. White is the all time favourite, you could also try other pastel shades. Infact you can get bold by trying out colours like fiery orange, bottle green fuchsia and other bright colours.

A lady has to be very careful as she dresses up this summer. If she shows skin as summer forces her to then the eye of the beholder may divert away from the face to the shiny skin. No one will then notice you, but the skin. You may be oblivious of what a spaghetti can do the people around you. You are wearing it because you can’t bear the heat. But then you increase heat around you.

So how can you dress feminine while looking modest? Summer dresses are mostly thin see-through materials. So get yourself to wear, petticoats, slips, bloomers etc. inside. Be comfortable with all these inner-wears. If you are not, then try them out at home. Once you are comfortable you can enjoy the summer breeze.

This summer indulge in full length dresses. They are called the grandma dress. Old fashioned though, they give any body a good shape while covering you from head to toe. Full-length skirts too are in. So you can enjoy the body and volume these skirts offer. And they are extremely comfortable, allowing you to sit where you want and how you want. Peddle pushers are another cool option. Teem it up with an Indian fashion kurti or short tops. Frills are in and so is lace. So you can get cute with some girlie dresses.
