An interior decorator decorates spaces or areas within rooms & buildings. An interior decorator dresses spaces such as rooms, halls and corridors, offices and show places. 

In order to become an interior decorator, one must know building materials, textiles, fabrics, fittings, plumbing and furnishings including antique and modern furnishings.


 Interior decorators decorate homes and commercial offices, store windows, stores, offices and public spaces.  There are several interior decorator courses, diplomas & degrees. Interior decorator are trained in schools of design and apprentice programs in colleges and universities.
