Earning a decent income while working from home is
possible with the career of a beautician. It is not as easy as it looks
but a little training and a curious mind can make you a long running
player in this field. Many women and now even men have taken up to this
profession, as the earnings are great and the job satisfaction is even
greater. On taking a beautician course you will be trained on a variety of subjects as it includes the nuances of beauty and the body. You can either opt for being a beautician, professionalizing in its various attributes or just specializing in any one. For instance as a beautician you can offer beauty therapy, hair styling and cutting, facials, manicure, pedicure, massage etc. or you can opt to be a cosmetologist, a herbal specialist, an electrologist etc. The best part of being a beautician is that you do not need much academic qualification. All you need is a keen interest in grooming your customer to their satisfaction. With a little hands-on approach you will gain the understanding of the profession. But a dash of your imagination is required to blend with the technical skills to gain outstanding results. Training is necessary as you are made to understand the nitty-gritties of the profession. But one should not pick just any other course although it may sound enticing and offer guaranteed placements or results. Course fees may range from just Indian Rs. 2000 to over Rs. 25000. So take up a course that is more genuine and has proven results to support it. At the training sessions you will be taught about different skin types, dyeing and tinting, facials, manicure and other basics of being a beautician. As a beautician you have to bore in mind that the job will demand a lot of patience and stamina. You may be standing on your feet for hours together without a break. Also you would have to imbibe conversational skills, as you have to create a soothing ambience to cradle your client to a relaxed mood. Similarly you also have to create a clean and neat surrounding so that your client does not resent coming to you. Many beautician careers have taken off from the four walls of their house.
