The success of any organization, big or
small depends upon its employees. The staff force of an enterprise truly
determines how far the organization will go towards achieving its goals
and objectives. Business environment is more often than not, chaotic and
turbulent so commercial success hinges upon staff using their full
talents in best possible way. There are plenty of theories and practices
available to the managers that focus upon extracting the best out of
employees. However, despite all these, what truly determines the working
attitude and performance of the staff force is the much talked about
concept of motivation. Every individual is motivated by different thing
and certainly, in a different way. That explains why managements world
over spent a great deal of time on understanding employee motivation.
A small reward, word of appreciation,
challenging job responsibilities, sensitive approach of seniors etc can
do wonders to staff motivation. The trick is to find a way, where
employees and management is in perfect unison. Good leadership always
places special emphasis on staff motivation. Employees form the backbone
of the company so it makes sense to devise ways to keep staff motivation
intact and needless to say, it is always a mutually beneficial pact.
